Practice what you learned here, with cases similar to those encountered during internship (and beyond). Learn about each patient by browsing through their health "records". Then, write H&P and answer questions testing your medical knowledge (with explanation).

Purpose

This website provides a study aid to those studying medicine, through "real-world" cases. We believe that studying the materials is not enough to understand and retain what you learned. Our platform provides cases that resemble real-world clinical scenarios.

This platform lets you explore the patient’s chart - simplified electronic medical records - and learn about the patient. The goal is to help you go through the chart and develop your own way of reviewing a chart efficiently and thoroughly. For example, I usually start with the ED triage and nursing notes, vitals, lab work, imaging, then look up previous hospital visits and some of the clinic visits. Different providers have developed different approaches, and this platform may help you develop your own flow. Then, a simplified - written - patient interaction can be accessed. Afterwards, write your H&P. This is to help you with time management, and test your chart review skills. Once the H&P is done, you start with a list of board-style questions with explanations that are relevant to the patient in the case.
